Breeding
Female dogs, like other mammals, reproduce through sexual intercourse resulting from the inoculation of the female egg with a male animal, when the female is of eight months of age, when its first menstruation occurs, accompanied by changes in behavior and within the body to prepare the body for intercourse, while the male reaches adulthood a month earlier than his female counterpart.
Dogs breed and it may happen in a late time in dogs of large sizes. The duration of pregnancy in dogs ranges from 56 to 72 days with an average of 62 days. The difference in duration is due to several factors such as climate, nutrition and breed type.
Diseases transmitted from dogs to humans
Rabies
One of the most important negative effects of this phenomenon is the disease caused by dog bites that cause very serious rabies which affects human health badly and can be exposed to anyone in the province because in every street a dog may attack you at any moment and the nature of the disease reported by World Health Organization is caused by the following: “The presence of a virus transmitted from infected dogs to organisms that they bite like cows, goats and sheep, in addition to humans and the causes of the emergence of the virus may be unknown” as for its symptoms, these reports confirm that: Not all dogs carry the virus that causes rabies, there are specifications for infected dogs, including that rabid dogs suffer from red eyes, heavy flow of saliva from their nose and mouth, bouts of extreme agitation, sensory disorders in smell and taste where these dogs bite the various things they face from gravel and wood and so on, and these symptoms may be accompanied by severe inactivity, as well as changes in behavior towards aggressiveness where it attacks everything moving in front of it such as car and humans, and augmented exposure to water significantly in order to reduce increased body temperature, the disease is concentrated in the brain where it hits the nervous system knowing that the speed of transmission of the virus towards the brain is 2 cm every 24 hours, i.e. the closer the bite to the brain the greater the risk, and the dog infected with this virus dies after infection within fifteen days.
